What other fantasy films on Netflix should've made this list?
Roni Legassie (17 hours ago)
He Never Died. Henry Rollins man.
Bab Alonne (4 days ago)
Christopher Butler (4 days ago)
How could you even recommend Circque Du Freak? It's an abomination of the book series that just amalgamated EVERY single book into one from starting to end plot points, didn't even get the origin entirely correct (again, just loose plots points that weren't even entirely accurate) , and should have been done in a series with MUCH better actors than it had. The writing on the movie was horrendous and is a complete and utter disappointment to anyone who actually read the series growing up.
i Martins (19 days ago)
Robert Siemon, yup that to is really, really good!!
Robert Siemon (19 days ago)
Ice fantasy.
Tan Lan (11 hours ago)
You should have added "for American viewers" as 7 out of 9 movies aren't available elsewhere.
foxtorche (15 hours ago)
These are very mediocore, forgettable movies..
Zztuf (21 hours ago)
Of the whole list, only Psychokinesis is available in my country :(
Levi (1 day ago)
I feel like you meant best Asian fantasy movies more than just fantasy movies 😂😂
Seema Gupta (3 days ago)
I like the genre but not Chinese government.
Wrath of The NORSEMAN (3 days ago)
Solomon Kane Sucked
Roni Legassie (17 hours ago)
No it did not.
Nemanja Milenkovic (3 days ago)
There are some open minding movies, if u look for deeper meaning...
i Martins (4 days ago)
Altered carbon, kind of really enjoyed watching it. So I'm voting it in.
neo 71665 (5 days ago)
I'm not 100% against foreign films I'm about sick of 9 out of 10 new releases on netflix being subtitled and not dubbed in english. Frankly if I'm gonna be stuck reading the whole thing I'd rather just be reading a book not missing all the little details reading tiny script on the bottom of a screen,
Benjamin Vanhees (1 day ago)
says a lot about you tbh... I'm not a native english speaker and I watch subbed movies and anime all the time without missing a thing and I need to adapt to 2 foreign languages.
Agon Leed (3 days ago)
neo 71665 if you read slowly, sure...youll miss shit. But I don't read as quick and I dontnmiss anything. It's like this..the lines are delivered, and because I know my own language, I can read a few words and the rest kinda gets filled in. Because...i mean...movies are scripted. We can KINDA guess what's going to be said after so many movies or t.v. shows. The only thing that will give you any kind of hangup is trying to read the location since its not native to us. OR...ots 2018 and there are free apps that can teach you languages quickly. Just this year I learned Japanese and touched up on Spanish. And starting mandarin. And i started in January. And only spend about 20min a day. That really only takes away from any average "learn nothing" day...about 10min of YouTube, 5min of masturbation and 5min of searching Facebook for stupid shit to be condescending about lol
ABC (5 days ago)
all of these are trash.
Gamepowr (5 days ago)
Watched most of them before they were added on Netflix and most are great like Solomon Kane,it's such an obscure movie, not many people know about it.
Roni Legassie (17 hours ago)
Solomon Kane wasn't released in the U.S. until 2012, 3 years after it's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009. US DVD release 2013. I waited over 4 years for this film. That happened only when a friend sent me a bootlegged (?) copy. This is good movie.
HeavensMemory (5 days ago)
and most of them are not available in Germany. Why Netflix?
cruddddddddddddddd (6 days ago)
I really enjoyed Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when it was released. Gilliam is a genius. And it has the distinction of being the last film in which Ledger starred. I liked Solomon Kane, too, which I had to watch on a free movie website years ago, because I couldn't find it anywhere else. For a B-movie, it's actually not bad at all--a Robert E. Howard creation (Conan the Barbarian).
Rafael Ceballos (8 days ago)
The Imaginary of Dr Parnassus is probably in my top 10 best made movies despite the death of Heath Ledger they managed to make it even more interesting.
BK Jan (9 days ago)
Terrible 'best of' Ive seen most and they are awful.
Lucifer (9 days ago)
they all look awful
inotaishu1 (10 days ago)
I saw that Monkey King movie… and it was bad. In fact, I am pretty oversaturated with movies etc. about the Monkey King. There are too many of them.
inotaishu1 (3 days ago)
Agon Leed, but do we need to see how the four (arguably five if you count the horse) met almost every time? I think most people will know that by now.
Agon Leed (3 days ago)
inotaishu1 lmao. Yea. But..if you look closely at other Asian movies and some anime...the IDEA is the same, but told in many different ways. The book is very thick, but it boils down to a journey that each have to face their own struggles, while also learning to work together..even with very different personalities.
inotaishu1 (3 days ago)
Agon Leed, well for me I have enough of the monkey king for a while, especially when the films are too similar. I mean Journey to the West is Thousands of Pages long so you would think they would find some more episodes from it to make movies off, but so far it has only been a few.
Agon Leed (3 days ago)
inotaishu1 i see what youremtalking about. Yes. I watched it lol
inotaishu1 (3 days ago)
Agon Leed, did you also watch the animated movie from a few years ago?
Meenakshi xo (11 days ago)
I've seen all of them, but not on Netflix.
nttl (12 days ago)
For those who don't know or remember The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus was the last movie from Heat Ledger, they had to finish the movie with Jude Law, Colin Farrel and Johnny Depp instead when Ledger died, and surprisingly they managed to make quite a convincing twist/homage out of that.
Ashtyn Thomas (12 days ago)
The fact it has Cirque du Freak: Vampire's Assistant as a good one and must watch. I didn't finish the list.
Dianna Allison (13 days ago)
Vampires assistant was great...unexpectedly so!
Ron Rhodes (13 days ago)
The Monkey King movies are cool because they are at least loosely based on a classic Beijing Opera story. It's interesting to see how the film version relates (or doesn't) to the various adventures of the travelers along their journey.
Agon Leed (3 days ago)
Ron Rhodes Journey to the fucking West many iterations are my favorites
Jean Dubuc (14 days ago)
Wow... This list lost all my respect at the vampire's assistant. The only movie that I've walked out of the cinema.
JR. Thone (15 days ago)
The problem is that half these films are subtitles only and I like watching my fantasy movies as background while I cook or play video games. It just doesn't work.
Agon Leed (3 days ago)
JR. Thone well..,youre technically not watching. So it shouldn't matter. I have them as background as well...notmunderstanding a damn word. So..when inhale time, I go back to ACTUALLY watch them. Like, I fall asleep to them as well
Allen Smithee (16 days ago)
I wish the Vamp’s Assist. Had gotten its sequels
Simone Paoloni (17 days ago)
I see the boy who return at the far east festival in italy! Really good and touching movie. <3 Parnassus is brilliant (is Gilliam boys!!)
Simone Paoloni (17 days ago)
Very good list! <3
Jason Saathoff (18 days ago)
I know it's not a movie but the television series Ash vs Evil Dead was a pretty good Horror/Fantasy/Comedy series, and Netflix has 2 seasons of it to binge watch.
Chris (19 days ago)
Maybe Solomon Kane. Didn't sell me on anything else. Sorry.
Alphaviking (19 days ago)
The first suggested film is literally GARBAGE
Hawaiian Brian (19 days ago)
Summary: netflix sucks. Movies available are trash, and Hollywood is dying.
Ebi fuon (19 days ago)
I watched the Naga pearls movie it was ok but man did they ripoff guardians of the galaxy
Mangolite (20 days ago)
Off the list, Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned is a very well done fantasy about time and how it affect each individuals. A group of children happened upon an underground egg and by breaking it opened, their lives are ultimately changed. For one child, her world remained the same with the exception of her missing friends until a thirty something years old man has a convincing claim that he was one of the missing children. From the kids to the adults, they gave nuance performances and is one of those rare find gem.
alfomar (21 days ago)
All those movies looks awful, maybe I'm wrong, but what an odd selection
dedi widiarso (22 days ago)
So, how much did Netflix pay you guys?
Allison Marley (22 days ago)
The Cirque du Freak books are so awesome
Chr0nos (22 days ago)
Unless you live in Australia...in which case...RIP
Mr Joe (23 days ago)
There is only two of these on Netflix-London bli**y
Mr. Ben (23 days ago)
Are all these in English? I HATE reading subtitles.
Nejvyn (23 days ago)
I've seen 3/9 without even owning a Netflix account, do I get a price now? But seriously, go watch Solomon Kane, it's great!
Roberto Dela Cruz (23 days ago)
I don't have most of those movies in my netflix why.?
Steve Hampton (23 days ago)
Of all those movies, only 2 are on the Australian Netflix...
Roger Limoseth (23 days ago)
Dam ive seen everyone except vanishing time. I need a life
Alexander John Babbage (24 days ago)
The fact that He Never Died and What We Do In the Shadows aren't on this list is ridiculous.
Crow Fu (24 days ago)
StarDust is one of the best fantasy movies in years, i thought it was less popular. Guess not, and im happy many people love it like me.
TheWu (24 days ago)
Just knew you had something to say about Prince of Persia, but no, not so much... Disappoint.
schippes24 (24 days ago)
if only netflix wouldnt force you into VPN-services outside of the US.. here in germany you basicly have like 20% of the movies available because netflix didnt get the rights..
schedule fair basically dirty seat function church increase rise.
Tamara Magdalene (24 days ago)
Don't let this distract you from Game of Thrones.
Ken Adams (25 days ago)
I'm guessing the majority of these movies need to be read, you know, subtitled? That would be why I'll never see them, I read books and watch/listen to movies. I don't prefer to miss the action while I read the bottom of the screen....
Tonyo Bagito (25 days ago)
Vanishing Time is a good one. maybe a 8/10. Kinda slow-paced but good story line.
Jaywade H (25 days ago)
i am Chinese, and i can tell you those Chinese films are junk. Even ourselves don't wanna talk about it
J Menz (25 days ago)
cirque du freak is horrible ytf is it on this list.
Brad Brodiefvah (25 days ago)
i watch Solomon Kane, I like it.
mhJazz93 (25 days ago)
Fantasy is one of my favourite genres, but since Lord of the Rings (and the Hobbit) and Harry Potter. And although fantasy has gone over to TV, it seems like people have no interest in fantasy much anymore when it comes to films. Lord of the Rings is great, but it's not the greatest fantasy out there. At least in Asian countries fantasy is still going strong, thank you.
Jackson (25 days ago)
Ya know the thing I dislike the most about Netflix is that I wanna watch these movie,s but quite often I don't speak the language and I'm not about to sit through a couple hours worth of subtitles. If Netflix could spend some time dubbing these movies in English it would be appreciated
Agon Leed (3 days ago)
Jackson is it hard for you to read? Cause my 10yr old who only knows English and not the best reader in class has no problem keeping up with movies we watch with subtitles. Yes...i can leave and ask him to tell me what happens, watch it later and he didn't make a mistake. Thing is, it's still a movie. The script, when subtitled, will be in a way you can pretty much guess what's going to be said by The time you read then first two or three words. It's not likemthey put a paragraph on the screen lol. You will still be able to see everything on screen. Unless youre the type always searching for "Easter eggs" like that one mirror on the desk that's a call back to Disney movie or something lol
AnarchoHumanism (25 days ago)
Cirque du freak was awesome!
David Harding (25 days ago)
Please put a country prefix in the banner title. Some of these look good and I cannot view them. You are setting up expectations that cannot be met. I am down voting this video.
Cabochon1360 (25 days ago)
At least the Dragonheart dragons are actual dragons: four legs, two wings. Peter Jackson.
The Crafty Dragon (2 days ago)
Craig B Falcor was awesome and he looks like an elder Chinese dragon, with a dog-like head.
Craig B (6 days ago)
How dare you! Falcor is the best dragon ever lol I know not a Peter Jackson creation but he didn't have wings.
JARFINAZ (26 days ago)
I'm sorry but these look like total crap. Solomon Kane was actually pretty good but that is really due to James Purefoy carrying the movie.
Telly Vin-a (26 days ago)
four dragonhearts and still no dragonriders or elrics
SidRandom (26 days ago)
and remember... Monkey king MOVIES not the series.....NOT THE SERIES.....
steven cone (26 days ago)
Great list of movies of which most made really enjoy sitting down and reading a good movie.
Little Sea Outpost (26 days ago)
Netflix is now peddling a bunch of C rated Asian movies, and crappy Netflix ones.
Lord Dice X (26 days ago)
Thanks. It's tough to find fantasy actually worth watching.
Melayahm01 (26 days ago)
American Netflix, not UK
Anida Tequila (26 days ago)
Naga pearls not available. I don't know why.
lanu432 (26 days ago)
Netflix sucks outside of US.. Nothing is available...😡
Alex O (27 days ago)
Most people missed imaginarium because heath died before the movie was complete, leaving the rest of the cast to finish it up with clever camera work. Still a great movie but that's why it didn't get a lot of play.
Jorge Carrasco (27 days ago)
They all sucked
Blue Frost (27 days ago)
I've never heard of any of these 😂
heroless (27 days ago)
Glad to see so many foreign films!
Richard Whereat (27 days ago)

Jasper de Jaager (27 days ago)
Belly buy limb presidential lunch source pass barely.
Diego Murillo (27 days ago)
Solomon kane is the only good one, it's pretty much a rip off of Van Helsing, but a good one
BlackBullRising (27 days ago)
2) The Vampire's Assistant was a theatrical release. 5) Solomon Kane (see above).
the Messenger Mesaj (27 days ago)
Psychokines has all the ingredients of a good movie... Sci Fi, Comedy, Superhero and action. I recommend you watch it.
Shaun Wilkinson (28 days ago)
Mojin was TERRIBLE!
Cat in a box (28 days ago)
"The Best Fantasy Films On Netflix You Haven't Seen" - That's a very arrogant assumption. How do they know we haven't seen them?
kimmo mac (28 days ago)
Matt Katch (28 days ago)
So the list isn't bad, but dear lord who wrote the script?
Wong Tiew Kiat (28 days ago)
Mojin is a crap movie. You have been warned.
Nothing Left (28 days ago)
Solomon Kane is a great movie :)
h347h (28 days ago)
AKA what to settle for on Netflix after you watched all the good shit.
Crushing It (28 days ago)
Just watch the show " Preacher ". It's on amc or Hulu. True, not a Netflix show (sorry to be off topic but all these options on this list are horrible). But if you want action, comedy, religion, sacrilege, and just down right badassery watch the show. First 60 second got me hooked.
charles nahm (28 days ago)
I highly recommend the movie "Along With The Gods" on Netflix but its in korean so you have to turn on the subtitles.
reec5e (28 days ago)
For anyone watching in the uk, don’t bother searching for any of them
ali Servan (28 days ago)

Aaron Ball (28 days ago)
Cirque du Freak is such an incredible book series of you haven't read it I recommend itA
Paul Corzette (28 days ago)
almost everything on Netflix sucks now. Any decent movies it used to have have pretty much just been replaced with bullshit Netflix originals
e rivera (28 days ago)
fuck subtitled movies. if i want to read i will pick up a book.
Smegma Poppins (28 days ago)
These look as if they might contain storylines and the magic ingredient called entertainment, absent from the majority of contemporary shit movies dressed up as Blockbusters.
anthony arinaga (28 days ago)
He said Stardust... Lolz
Major Studio (28 days ago)
Solomon Kane is pretty good though
