Sofa Overlord (1 month ago)

MISHIT KINGS (2 months ago)
The legend of the Naga pearls is terrible. The acting and everything is bad. The martial arts is super slow and corny .

Vanishing time was amazing!!!! South Korean cinema is on another level seriously. Along with the gods (both parts), I saw the devil, miracle in cell n7, sunny, a taxi driver... every South Korean film I've watched has been awesome
Katie Shaw (1 month ago)
You forgot to mention about The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, that it was Heath Ledger's last movie, before he died.
bangem andleavem (1 month ago)
10 movies i can avoid
The Last Norsemen (1 month ago)
The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus on the last movies Heath made, I dont know a single person who has not seen that film
Godwin Robinson (1 month ago)
The vampires assistant is a great book and part of a great series... however the film is awful
CuriousCat (1 month ago)
I haven't seen the last two, so you actually found something I haven't seen!
viridian (1 month ago)
Any that has good acting, decent cgi and of course a good story? Cause even from this I can see... they all lack something from my list. :/
Random Chaos (1 month ago)
The Vampire Assistant is very good, Solomon Cane is just a good movie all around, but Monkey King 2, my kids hated it, well they hated it after it took almost a week to get through it (by the end of the week, it seemed more of a punishment). They were so board, nothing like the first one thumbs down.
Simon Flugel (1 month ago)
Tale of tales is quite good as well
Adam1s1Uncle (1 month ago)
you sadly and shamefully neglected to include that the "the imaginarium..." was directed by Terry Gilliam! and is the last movie Ledger (half)-did before his untimely and regrettable passing which gave the movie an even more spectacular outtake as his character changes "faces" ;)
Radu Coroi (2 months ago)
I just fucking love fantasy and martial arts Chinese movies. Was looking for some more to watch thanks for the recommendations.
Turco949 (2 months ago)
Imaginarium of Doctor Pornasses? Really? Can't believe that pile of shit made this list. The ones I have seen (3) were mediocre at best with the exception of Cirque du Freak. That was a cool flick and fun to watch.
Snipe37 (2 months ago)
why are you showing us shit asain films?
snowyalice (2 months ago)
I saw Cirque du Freak in cinemas when it came out and wrote a uni essay on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Don't need to watch them on Netflix cause I own both on DVD.
K2s Garnett (2 months ago)
all sub titles i hate
noronahahaha (2 months ago)
ugh god why is netflix so bad these days
Nick Redmond (2 months ago)
he's lying, dont watch Cirque Du Freak. go read the book because the movie is garbage and wrong.
Sophie Vector (2 months ago)
Nope, nothing here I would watch. Other than the Vampire Apprentice, which I've seen quite a few times (The whole series is great as books as well) Netflix is great, but I'm not into Japanese/Chinese/Korean films. I'll wait until they remake them into western films that everyone says aren't as good as the original.
Donald Morris (2 months ago)
Black Dynamite is a masterpiece
James Mixon (2 months ago)
Can Netflix please limit the amount of foreign films. I don't like to read when I'm watching t.v.. Takes away from viewing and possibly important small things. I don't mind the films. Just put them all in their own category and not mixed up with English speaking (American, English, Australian, just some examples.) I have watched some good foreign films but they spoke English. Wasn't dubbed. It was filmed in English with other languages sub titles.
hack root (2 months ago)
1:18 Willem Dafoe as Joker
mischa wolf (2 months ago)
The vampire's assistant might on its own be pretty decent, but the books its based off of are far superior
Beyonce carter (2 months ago)
I loved solomon kane
Derek Rose (2 months ago)
Why isn't Bright on the list? It was a little rushed but seeing the movies premise fleshed out would be great
E. Turduckeny (2 months ago)
They really should have made it a series, even if only 4-5 episodes. Fantastic concept, but yea, the writing felt very rushed and then ending fell flat. Still liked it, but also a little disappointed.
owen bushido (2 months ago)
Legend of the naga pearls, mojin, doesnt show up on my searches
Shaq Tina (2 months ago)
Would have enjoyed these movies maybe when I was 10

TheShadow (2 months ago)
Imaginarium and Monkey King are garbage. Solomon Kane and Creep are good.
Mario Sandri (2 months ago)
I cannot find "Psychokinesis" on Netflix. Sang-ho Yeon's only film listed is "Train to Busan". Can someone post the direct URL to this title?
TurtleRawrrs (2 months ago)
"...just give it a chance" he said
Sergio Claveria (2 months ago)
Mmmmmm i don't like chinesse movies
cecillbill (2 months ago)
Cirque du Freak was a horrible movie. Truly. It's only watchable when you have absolutely nothing else to watch and absolutely nothing else to do at the time of watching it. Because it will bore you. It seems most movies on this list fall into that same category.
brandon cannon (2 months ago)
Both monkey king movies are dumb. Go watch overly sarcastic channel version of the monkey king story, its sooo much better.
brandon cannon (2 months ago)
Dragon heart the OG movie was good, the other movies are dumb.

Man how could you forget bahubali 1 and 2
Rocca Flocca (3 months ago)
These are barely fantasy. There are almost no fantasy movies done well ever in history. You've got the LotRs, the first Conan, and... That's really probably it. Sadly.
Adrian Mauldin (3 months ago)
He literally chose the worst fantasy films cmon yo
Edin (3 months ago)
oh man, those are some bad movies

TOO MANY FOREIGN MOVIES with no English-speaking option on Netflix makes most of these unwatchable unless you like reading movies
alberto cabrera (3 months ago)
LOL I have seen all of them and they all been on Netflix for a bit. A 4th thou are in sub titles and it is most likely why a lot of people have not seen them. But netflix need some new movies. There's nothing on them I have not seen twice.
Maria Julia Luna (3 months ago)
NOT AVAILABLE OUTSIDE OF US...
Dank Smaug (3 months ago)
Mojin is so good
Shawn Tannehill (3 months ago)
The title should be Asian films on Netflix you have never seen.

Yeah, because I don't have Netflix...
VanBurenPhilips (3 months ago)
Just threw Psychokinesis on the watchlist a couple of days ago during a Korean film binge (The Wailing was good, 26 Years ok). The only other one I fancy on this list is Vanishing Time.
Ahti Studios (3 months ago)
Why avengers Infinity War isn't in the list
Mr. Manbat (3 months ago)
They are all horrible movies
Danger Dave (3 months ago)
"Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant" and "Vanishing Time" isn.t on netflix anymore...
Ziabatsu (3 months ago)
I feel like at least 3-4 of the movies on this list are actually really popular... lol
Tan Lan (3 months ago)
You should have added "for American viewers" as 7 out of 9 movies aren't available elsewhere.
foxtorche (3 months ago)
These are very mediocore, forgettable movies..
Zztuf (3 months ago)
Of the whole list, only Psychokinesis is available in my country :(
Levi (3 months ago)
I feel like you meant best Asian fantasy movies more than just fantasy movies 😂😂
Seema Gupta (3 months ago)
I like the genre but not Chinese government.
Wrath of The NORSEMAN (3 months ago)

+HardcoreJesus100 Hey, I recommend the books. Audiobooks are great as well.
HardcoreJesus100 (3 months ago)
Dude that show was awesome... One of my favorite Netflix shows
neo 71665 (3 months ago)
I'm not 100% against foreign films I'm about sick of 9 out of 10 new releases on netflix being subtitled and not dubbed in english. Frankly if I'm gonna be stuck reading the whole thing I'd rather just be reading a book not missing all the little details reading tiny script on the bottom of a screen,
Benjamin Vanhees (3 months ago)
says a lot about you tbh... I'm not a native english speaker and I watch subbed movies and anime all the time without missing a thing and I need to adapt to 2 foreign languages.
Agon Leed (3 months ago)
neo 71665 if you read slowly, sure...youll miss shit. But I don't read as quick and I dontnmiss anything. It's like this..the lines are delivered, and because I know my own language, I can read a few words and the rest kinda gets filled in. Because...i mean...movies are scripted. We can KINDA guess what's going to be said after so many movies or t.v. shows. The only thing that will give you any kind of hangup is trying to read the location since its not native to us. OR...ots 2018 and there are free apps that can teach you languages quickly. Just this year I learned Japanese and touched up on Spanish. And starting mandarin. And i started in January. And only spend about 20min a day. That really only takes away from any average "learn nothing" day...about 10min of YouTube, 5min of masturbation and 5min of searching Facebook for stupid shit to be condescending about lol
ABC (4 months ago)
all of these are trash.
Gamepowr (4 months ago)
Watched most of them before they were added on Netflix and most are great like Solomon Kane,it's such an obscure movie, not many people know about it.
Roni Legassie (3 months ago)
Solomon Kane wasn't released in the U.S. until 2012, 3 years after it's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009. US DVD release 2013. I waited over 4 years for this film. That happened only when a friend sent me a bootlegged (?) copy. This is good movie.
HeavensMemory (4 months ago)
and most of them are not available in Germany. Why Netflix?
cruddddddddddddddd (4 months ago)
I really enjoyed Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when it was released. Gilliam is a genius. And it has the distinction of being the last film in which Ledger starred. I liked Solomon Kane, too, which I had to watch on a free movie website years ago, because I couldn't find it anywhere else. For a B-movie, it's actually not bad at all--a Robert E. Howard creation (Conan the Barbarian).
Rafael Ceballos (4 months ago)
The Imaginary of Dr Parnassus is probably in my top 10 best made movies despite the death of Heath Ledger they managed to make it even more interesting.
BK Jan (4 months ago)
Terrible 'best of' Ive seen most and they are awful.
Lucifer (4 months ago)
they all look awful
inotaishu1 (4 months ago)
I saw that Monkey King movie… and it was bad. In fact, I am pretty oversaturated with movies etc. about the Monkey King. There are too many of them.
inotaishu1 (3 months ago)
Agon Leed, but do we need to see how the four (arguably five if you count the horse) met almost every time? I think most people will know that by now.
Agon Leed (3 months ago)
inotaishu1 lmao. Yea. But..if you look closely at other Asian movies and some anime...the IDEA is the same, but told in many different ways. The book is very thick, but it boils down to a journey that each have to face their own struggles, while also learning to work together..even with very different personalities.
inotaishu1 (3 months ago)
Agon Leed, well for me I have enough of the monkey king for a while, especially when the films are too similar. I mean Journey to the West is Thousands of Pages long so you would think they would find some more episodes from it to make movies off, but so far it has only been a few.
Agon Leed (3 months ago)
inotaishu1 i see what youremtalking about. Yes. I watched it lol
inotaishu1 (3 months ago)
Agon Leed, did you also watch the animated movie from a few years ago?
Meenakshi xo (4 months ago)
I've seen all of them, but not on Netflix.
nttl (4 months ago)
For those who don't know or remember The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus was the last movie from Heat Ledger, they had to finish the movie with Jude Law, Colin Farrel and Johnny Depp instead when Ledger died, and surprisingly they managed to make quite a convincing twist/homage out of that.
Ashtyn Thomas (4 months ago)
The fact it has Cirque du Freak: Vampire's Assistant as a good one and must watch. I didn't finish the list.
Dianna Allison (4 months ago)
Vampires assistant was great...unexpectedly so!
Ron Rhodes (4 months ago)
The Monkey King movies are cool because they are at least loosely based on a classic Beijing Opera story. It's interesting to see how the film version relates (or doesn't) to the various adventures of the travelers along their journey.
Agon Leed (3 months ago)
Ron Rhodes Journey to the fucking West many iterations are my favorites
Jean Dubuc (4 months ago)
Wow... This list lost all my respect at the vampire's assistant. The only movie that I've walked out of the cinema.
JR. Thone (4 months ago)
The problem is that half these films are subtitles only and I like watching my fantasy movies as background while I cook or play video games. It just doesn't work.
Agon Leed (3 months ago)
JR. Thone well..,youre technically not watching. So it shouldn't matter. I have them as background as well...notmunderstanding a damn word. So..when inhale time, I go back to ACTUALLY watch them. Like, I fall asleep to them as well
Allen Smithee (4 months ago)
I wish the Vamp’s Assist. Had gotten its sequels
Simone Paoloni (4 months ago)
I see the boy who return at the far east festival in italy! Really good and touching movie. <3 Parnassus is brilliant (is Gilliam boys!!)
Simone Paoloni (4 months ago)
Very good list! <3
Jason Saathoff (4 months ago)
I know it's not a movie but the television series Ash vs Evil Dead was a pretty good Horror/Fantasy/Comedy series, and Netflix has 2 seasons of it to binge watch.
Chris (4 months ago)
Maybe Solomon Kane. Didn't sell me on anything else. Sorry.
Alphaviking (4 months ago)
The first suggested film is literally GARBAGE
