Note: In the Video we pinned Pages or Tabs to Dashboards, but you can also pin individual visuals from a Page to a Dashboard or Highlight a range in an Excel Sheet and Pin it to a Dashboard. When you pin individual elements like this, when you click on them they take you back to the original Page (Tab) that you copied the visual from (link back to original Page).
Sir, I'm facing these two complicated problems. Please help me. 1) Return all the values that match the criteria but with leaving blank ("") every other cells: Sir, can you please make a video on how to return the values with leaving every other cells blank ("")? Suppose there are some sales in November. I have to show all the sales of November, but leaving every other cells as blank ("").
2) 4 ways Lookup but dealing with Merge Cells: Suppose like our Electric Bills, Name of the past 6 months are divided into 4 Columns each. For example, Last 6 months were June, July, August, September, October and November. Under each of these month contains previous year (2017) unit consumption and previous year (2017) billing charges & this year (2018) unit consumption and this year (2018) billing charges. Now, lets assume that there are 5 customers. A, B, C, D and E. Now my question is,- how to Lookup "How much units did customer "D" consumed and the charges that customer "D" had to pay in November of Previous Year (2017) and this year (2018)?"
You are welcome! Yes, the pdf notes sometimes take me longer to create than the videos. Together, they are a powerful one-two punch that delivers video teaching and reading & pictorial teaching. Please help support these free resources with comments and thumbs up on each video - it is a small way that you can support complete and detailed resources.
Please remove this video from your play lists "https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrRPvpgDmw0k_h8ORYyh7waGfuiiufu6H" because it is replicate two time in the same play list. BTW awesome Tutorial. I love this.

Your generosity in sharing the various series and topic oriented playlists is very much appreciated. For anyone who takes the time and has the patience to watch, you can rapidly and greatly up your game in EXCEL, as well as learn new things about finance, accounting, statistics, data handling and more. It's like a one-stop-shop for the knowledge worker of any kind.. and.. all for free.. amazing! I can't wait to sink my teeth into your new MSPTDA series next year. Once again, thanks for being my go-to Excel resource in 2018. You, Leila and a few others are outstanding MVPs and deserve all your success and more. Looking forward to more of the same in 2019. Cheers.. Happy Holidays.. and Thumbs up!
+Wayne Edmondson you took the words right out of my mouth. Been watching the videos for just a bit over a year and I can't believe how much I've learnt in that period. I'm like a different person. I only wish I'd discovered this channel years ago but better late than never. Thank you Mr Girvin. You are guaranteed a thumbs up and comment from me for every video I see. Happy holidays!!!
+Wayne Edmondson , Go team!!!!! I so agree: We are part of a Team that can help to make the world a better place with Excel : ) As for learning, most all the tricks that we need in Excel are taught in a logical order with the Excel Basics Playlist (Busn 216) and then Advanced Excel Playlist (Busn 218). Thanks so much for your support : ) : )
Hi Mike.. count me as one guy who is very grateful. I only wish I had become more proactive 10 years ago when you started to post. Like most people, I taught myself Excel on the job and thought.. hey.. I know what I'm doing. It wasn't until I found the resources offered by you, Leila, Bill J., Oz, Mynda, Jon A., Alan M. and many others that I realized how much I didn't know. It really lit a fire under me. I wish I had the time to watch all your videos.. guess I would have to take a year off.. haha!! I'm working through your various series in order.. Busn 216, Busn 218, etc. and then watching all the daily videos and blog posts that hit my inbox. It really works.. the time invested pays off immediately in my work.. not to mention the satisfaction of gaining new knowledge each day. You will always get my thumbs up and recommendation to colleagues and friends. I've already told dozens of people.. you want to get better at EXCEL, head on over to ExcelIsFun! A side benefit is feeling a part of the larger community lead by you and all the other MVPs.. sharing the knowledge and passion for something we all like and use every day. So.. many thanks again. Looking forward to new adventures in 2019. Cheers and Thumbs up!

Can multiple people edit at the same time? Google sheets allows this in the Google drive but I highly prefer excel. Or do I have the wrong idea about Power Bi?
Thanks for all your 'excel'lent teaching, greatly appreciate it. Learned many things and built awsome stuff even though I'm a total noob at this.
I had no idea there was an Excel Online!! It's exactly what I was looking for. I searched many places but had no luck, this left me stuck using Google Sheets in the Drive which I personally don't like as much as excell.
I can't thank you enough for it was thanks to your MSPTDA group that I came across this.
THANK YOU!!! 😀😀👌
Thanks Mike, really looking forward to iterator functions and calculate :-) I have a question about excel scenario analysis as well, when I use the scenario button to run scenarios I get a pop up "Redefine scenario based on current cell values?" Any idea how to fix it. I don't get the pop up when I run scenario using the scenario manager.
+K B I know (and use) that button myself, too.
The way I see it: there is one "Scenario"-button (no icon) and one "Scenario Manager"-button (no icon) for the QAT.
And of course it's the Scenario-button we want.
It does this "replace" suggestion only the first time you invoke the button after opening a file. So you need to answer: "No" (once).
After that you're good to go.
The way I see it, it's not a bug, it's a feature. ;-)
+ExcelIsFun That is the desired effect. The idea behind the dashboard is a place to put key things from the underlying reports. Then if something catches your interest, you click on it to get the whole report.
+pa beader , Thanks, Teammate!!!! Very cool, but when I pin the visual (a single element in a page) to a Dashboard, when I click on it in the Dashboard it always sends me back to the original Page or Tab. Whereas, when I click on an element in a pinned Page (Tab) it will filter the other visuals in the pinned page, and it will not send me back to the original Page or Tab. Is that your experience also?
Sechskies Eun Ji Won and rookie singers Lee Soo Hyun and Kim Eun Bi performed the third OST single titled "Love Song". The rookies, who are both training to debut in HYWY Entertainments girl group HYWY Girls, joined the veteran to sing about falling in love with an unlikely person. The rhythmic medium temp track is the perfect tune to make your spring days even brighter.
As a child, there was a portrait in our family home in Paris that I always loved. Today, it’s known as Maya with Doll – but to me it was just a portrait of my mother, albeit a remarkable one. “Your grandfather was a painter,” she would say, whenever the subject of the canvas, one of many that hung around the house, came up in discussion. It was only when I began school, and whispers about my heritage started to follow me, that I realised what an understatement that was. My grandfather was far more than a painter. He was the defining figure of 20th-century art – and, as I would learn later from years of academic study, a true genius. It was a revelation that would shape the course of my life in many ways. When Picasso died – in 1973, the year before I was born – he left behind 45,000 works, not to mention personal objects and correspondence.
