4 Places To Edit WordPress CSS | WP Learning Lab

08:08
Grab Your Free 17-Point WordPress Pre-Launch PDF Checklist: http://vid.io/xqRL 4 Places To Edit WordPress CSS | WP Learning Lab To edit WordPress CSS you first need to know all the places you can find CSS. There are 4 common places. You may not have all these locations on your website because some of them are theme-dependent. The possible CSS locations are: 1. The WordPress theme or child theme stylesheet (this one you have for sure) 2. The theme options panel (this one you may or may not have) 3. A CSS editor on each page and post (this one you may or may not have) 4. Inline CSS applied directly to HTML elements on the page (this one you will have only if you're written it) Let's go through each one. The WordPress theme or child theme stylesheet When inside your WordPress dashboard if you click on Appearance then Editor you will be able to edit theme or child theme files. Usually the style.css is loaded first by default. If it's not loaded find the style.css file in the list of files on the right side of the editor page. When you find it, click on it. That will open the CSS file in WordPress editor. At this point you can make edits to the file and click on the Update button to save your changes. How to actually code CSS is beyond the scope of this tutorial, but you can check out my CSS channel over here (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeFLITjl2v9vtIkftw9UMsw) The danger in editing CSS directly in the stylesheet of the main theme is that what you create may be over written when the theme updates. You get around this problem by creating a child theme (see a tutorial on how to create a WordPress child theme here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8n1h-85SMQ). The theme options panel Not every theme has a theme options panel, but the ones that do make WordPress CSS so much easier to edit. You can simply add CSS to the CSS box in the theme options and click save changes. The upside is that theme updates won't erase the CSS code you create. A CSS editor on each page and post Some themes, like Avada and Divi, give you the option of insert CSS code right into the individual posts and pages of your website. This is great for CSS that you want to be only one page. I would only recommend doing this if you're putting more than 100 lines of CSS into the page. If it's less than 100 lines of CSS you're better to put into the main stylesheet so you stay organized. If it's more than 100 lines of CSS code that only need to exist on one page then your site will load a little bit faster overall by not loading all that CSS into every page. Inline CSS The last place in our list and the last place you'd want to create CSS code is right in your HTML elements. This is called inline CSS and can be difficult to work with for two big reasons. First, you can't apply the CSS to more than one element at a time. So if you want to style all the paragraphs on the page in the same way you have to apply the same CSS code over and over again to each p tag. This is a pain to administer and will result in larger than needed page sizes. Second, if you add inline CSS to lots of pages it will be come difficult to remember what CSS you applied where. Then trying to find it an make edits will become a pain. Inline CSS also takes precedent over CSS in the stylesheet. So you might be make changes to CSS in the stylesheet, but nothing is happening on the page. You'll go through a frustrating few minutes before you figure out the CSS is actually inline on the page. I hope this information helps you! Avoiding problems with CSS at scale: A look at CSS in JS - Therése Barmer

35:14
Anyone who has ever worked on a large product knows the pain of poorly architected CSS. CSS in JS enforces locally-scoped styles by default, by pulling in only the styles necessary for the component, instead of a whole CSS stylesheet. This does not mean using inline styles, but instead abstracting style at the component level. In this talk we will explore the main problems caused by using CSS at scale, and look at solutions to these problems involving JavaScript. Therése Barmer is a certified web developer with a passion for new programming languages and problem solving. At Edument she spends her time developing and teaching web-related courses, along with developing in JavaScript. ___________________________ Foo Café is an independent and physical meeting place for people of all backgrounds and expertise within the IT-industry. Mosin Nagant 91/30 Scout Scope Tutorial

09:37
Quick vid illustrating how you can scout scope your 91/30 with a long eye relief scope. I don't like the mounts that only replace the rear sight elevator. They do not hold a zero for me. I do not condone the use of those, or anything that attaches to the muzzle of a Mosin Nagant. Muzzle brakes on Mosins are VERY dangerous, and should only be installed if they are threaded and permanently fastened to the barrel. Here are some links to some of the things you will need to scout scope your Mosin: Boyds Stocks: http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/MOSIN-NAGANT-MBC-p/300-158.htm Scope mounts must be 3/8 inch bases or they won't fit on the Mosin Nagant dovetail. One piece scope mounts: http://www.airgundepot.com/onepi11mdomo.html Scopes for this set up must be long eye relief. Scopes are your choice, sky is the limit on price too. But NC Star makes a decent and affordable LER scope. http://www.opticsplanet.net/ncstar-illuminated-pistol-long-eye-relief-scope-2-5x30e-blk-pistol-scope-blue-ring-se.html

HK G3 - General and Scope Mounts

03:29
Ever since I got my Century Arms CETME I wanted to mount a scope on it. I knew the rifle had the range and really get the most out of it. The way the receivers are, it's tricky to get a scope mount that actually works. I tried a UTG "Low Profile" scope mount. As I said in the video - JUNK. Next I tried the more expensive Claw Mount. Heard that those were they way to go. Nope. To get the mount to fit properly it required filing down either the receiver, or the mount. Never held a zero. Then I tried a B-Square mount. Heard some mixed reviews about them. Gave it a shot. Locks in great, never slips, and holds a zero. The G3 rifles have a soft recoil, but scope mounts have a hard time staying put. The B Square mount doesn't budge. The rifle in the video is a Cast Receiver CETME. If you CETME is a Stamped Receiver, you may have different results. http://store.safariland.com/b-square/cetme.html

Red Dot Vs Scope For An AR 15 (A Beginner's Guide To AR Optics)

If you're new to AR 15s, and you're thinking about mounting an optic on your rifle, might be debating whether or not to go with a red dot or a scope. And I think they are both great options, but they come with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. And it really depends on what you want the primary strengths of your rifle to be. So we're going to compare these two styles of optics, and to do that we're going to be looking at 4 different categories: Speed, Accuracy, Weight, and Reliability. And hopefully, by the end of this comparison, you'll have a clear idea of which optic will be best for your rifle. Alright, so the first category is Speed, and I think the advantage here has to go to the red dot sight. Red dots are simply built for speed. By design, they have no eye relief so they are really easy to see through. They also have an extremely high visibility reticle and sometimes those reticles are designed for extra speed like the circle dots reticles you find on some holosuns and eotechs. Additionally, red dots have no magnification which is beneficial if you intend on shooting with both eyes open. Now, on the other hand, scopes tend to be a little bit slower, and there are really two main reasons for this. First, scopes require eye relief. So unless your eye is placed at the correct distance away from your scope's rear lens, you're not going to be able to see clearly through and you'll probably be slowed down a bit. Second, scopes have magnification. Now, I'm really talking about scopes with a low power of 1, but the problem is, the 1 power on most of these scopes isn't actually 1 power. It's usually something like a 1.1 or something along those lines. So using them with both eyes open may end up being a little tricky for you. However, it should be noted that you can be pretty fast with a scope on 1 power. Alright, the next category is Accuracy. A major part of being able to shoot accurately is seeing, and magnification allows you to see small at distance, So the advantage here has to go to the scope. Just imagine how much easier it would be to make a 200-yard shot at 6 power rather than on 1. Now obviously, with no magnification red dots are gonna be at a disadvantage at distance. Especially if you're like me and don't have great eyesight. But before moving on, I will say that there are some amazing shooters out there who are capable of really stretching out the range of their red dots. The third category is Weight. Now, there are so many different brands of scopes and red dots that it's really hard to make generalizations about them. However, a micro-sized red dot is going to weight about 4 ounces and a 1-6 scope is going to weigh about 16 ounces. So its pretty clear that the red dot has a big advantage in weight savings, and if you're looking to shave off a few ounces from your rifle, a micro red dot is definitely the way to go. Last we have Reliability. Once again there are many brands of optics out there and they all have different price points and differing degrees of reliability. However, just to generalize the comparison, I'm going to give the slight edge in reliability to the scope. The reason why is simply because the reticle of the scope doesn't rely on batteries. And even though there are some red dots out there with amazing battery life, you still have the possibility of a battery going dead or some other type of problem happening with the electronics. However, with a scope, the reticle is etched into the glass. So, it's going to be there regardless of whether or not it has a battery powering it. So, to bring everything to close, here's my conclusion. If you intend on having a lightweight carbine that's fast into action and best from 0-100 yards, put a red dot on your gun. If you're willing to sacrifice a little bit of weight and a little bit of speed up close for more capability at 200, 300, or 400 yards, go with a low powered variable scope. And if you want to best of both worlds, just get two rifles and have one of each! ----------------- Disclaimer: All content from Red Dot Shooters is for entertainment purposes only. New How to send email from HTML contact form using php mail function - Detailed In Hindi (Part-2)

07:05
Hello, Friends, In this tutorial, we have used the - !DOCTYPE,meta tag ,style tag, head tag, title tag, body tag,p tag,u tag,and h1 tag. HTML !DOCTYPE Declaration Definition and Usage The !DOCTYPE declaration must be the very first thing in your HTML document, before the html tag. The !DOCTYPE declaration is not an HTML tag; it is an instruction to the web browser about what version of HTML the page is written in. In HTML 4.01, the !DOCTYPE declaration refers to a DTD, because HTML 4.01 was based on SGML. The DTD specifies the rules for the markup language, so that the browsers render the content correctly. HTML5 is not based on SGML, and therefore does not require a reference to a DTD. Tip: Always add the !DOCTYPE declaration to your HTML documents, so that the browser knows what type of document to expect. HTML meta Tag Definition and Usage Metadata is data (information) about data. The meta tag provides metadata about the HTML document. Metadata will not be displayed on the page, but will be machine parsable. Meta elements are typically used to specify page description, keywords, author of the document, last modified, and other metadata. The metadata can be used by browsers (how to display content or reload page), search engines (keywords), or other web services. HTML5 introduced a method to let web designers take control over the viewport (the user's visible area of a web page), through the meta tag (See "Setting The Viewport" example below). Tips and Notes Note: meta tags always go inside the head element. Note: Metadata is always passed as name/value pairs. Note: The content attribute MUST be defined if the name or the http-equiv attribute is defined. If none of these are defined, the content attribute CANNOT be defined. HTML style Tag Definition and Usage The style tag is used to define style information for an HTML document. Inside the style element you specify how HTML elements should render in a browser. Each HTML document can contain multiple style tags. Tips and Notes Tip: To link to an external style sheet, use the link tag. Tip: To learn more about style sheets, please read our CSS Tutorial. Note: If the "scoped" attribute is not used, each style tag must be located in the head section. Differences Between HTML 4.01 and HTML5 The "scoped" attribute is new in HTML5, which allows to define styles for a specified section of the document. If the "scoped" attribute is present, the styles only apply to the style element's parent element and that element's child elements. HTML p Tag Definition and Usage The p tag defines a paragraph. Browsers automatically add some space (margin) before and after each p element. The margins can be modified with CSS (with the margin properties). Attribute align Value left right center justify Description Not supported in HTML5. Specifies the alignment of the text within a paragraph HTML u Tag Definition and Usage The u tag represents some text that should be stylistically different from normal text, such as misspelled words or proper nouns in Chinese. Tips and Notes Tip: Avoid using the u element where it could be confused for a hyperlink. Note: The HTML 5 specification reminds developers that other elements are almost always more appropriate than u. HTML body Tag Definition and Usage The body tag defines the document's body. The body element contains all the contents of an HTML document, such as text, hyperlinks, images, tables, lists, etc. HTML thead Tag Definition and Usage The thead tag is used to group header content in an HTML table. The thead element is used in conjunction with the tbody and tfoot elements to specify each part of a table (header, body, footer). Browsers can use these elements to enable scrolling of the table body independently of the header and footer. Also, when printing a large table that spans multiple pages, these elements can enable the table header and footer to be printed at the top and bottom of each page. The thead tag must be used in the following context: As a child of a table element, after any caption, and colgroup elements, and before any tbody, tfoot, and tr elements. Tips and Notes Note: The thead element must have one or more tr tags inside. Tip: The thead, tbody, and tfoot elements will not affect the layout of the table by default. However, you can use CSS to style these elements. HTML title Tag Definition and Usage The title tag is required in all HTML documents and it defines the title of the document. The title element: defines a title in the browser toolbar provides a title for the page when it is added to favorites displays a title for the page in search-engine results Tips and Notes Note: You can NOT have more than one title element in an HTML document. Tip: If you omit the title tag, the document will not validate as HTML.
