In this video nephrologist Danuta Trzebinska, MD at UC San Diego Health (http://health.ucsd.edu/nephrology) discusses the symptoms associated with different stages of chronic kidney disease and how they worsen as you progress from the least severe stage to the most severe stage. Chronic kidney disease is a silent disease and some patients will have nonspecific symptoms only, which are often ignored or overlooked until their kidney disease is quite advanced. A urinary tract infection, or UTI, is an infection in any part of the urinary system — the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. An infection of the urethra, or urethritis, may cause burning sensation when urinating and cloudy discharge. A bladder infection, or cystitis, may result in pelvic pain, frequent, painful urination, and blood in urine. A kidney infection, or acute pyelonephritis, may cause back pain (possibly only on one side), high fever, chills and nausea. UTIs typically occur when bacteria enter the urinary tract through the urethra and multiply in the bladder. Most commonly, these bacteria come from the digestive tract through fecal matter. UTIs are more common in women because of their anatomy. Specifically, the short distance from the A to the opening of the urethra and bladder makes it easier for the bacteria from the digestive tract to reach the urinary system. This is why the most common UTIs occur mainly in women and affect the bladder and urethra. Other bacteria may be brought over with S contact. Women who use certain types of birth control such as diaphragms or spermicidal agents are more at risk. Hormonal deficiency during menopause also makes women more vulnerable to infection. Infection limited to the bladder can be easily treated with antibiotics. However, if left untreated, a lower urinary tract infection may spread up to the kidneys where it becomes more dangerous. A kidney infection may result in permanent kidney damage. In rare cases, an infection may also spread to the bloodstream and can be life threatening. Urinary tract infections can be prevented following these steps: - Drink plenty of fluids – to flush out bacteria more frequently. - Wipe from front to back after a bowel movement - this helps prevent bacteria in stools from spreading to the urethra. - Empty the bladder soon after I to flush bacteria. - Avoid feminine products such as douches and powders, which could irritate the urethra. - Avoid diaphragms and spermicides as birth control methods

Urinary Tract Infection | How To Prevent UTI (2018)

02:58
Urinary Tract Infection or UTI. This video is on causes, symptoms, tips to prevent avoid them naturally even when sexually active. Urinary Tract Infection or UTI for short. UTIs can affect different parts of your urinary tract, including your bladder (cystitis), urethra (urethritis) or kidneys (kidney infection). UTIs are a worldwide global issue with 8 billion doctor visits worldwide, it’s the number one bacterial infection. Women are 20 to 1 men likely have UTI. It’s all to do with the anatomy but we won’t go into that as this video is about helpful tips that can help prevent a UTI. This video was sponsored by Dr Fox (Online Doctor & Pharmacy): https://www.doctorfox.co.uk SYMPTOMS OF A UTI: • Needing to pee suddenly or more often than usual • Pain or a burning sensation when peeing • Smelly or cloudy pee • Blood in your pee • Pain in your lower tummy • Feeling tired and unwell • In older people, changes in behaviour such as severe confusion or agitation • UTI symptoms may be difficult to spot in people with dementia. TIPS THAT CAN HELP PREVENT A UTI: Tip 1- Try to drink plenty of water if you have a UTI as it can dilute the bacteria that’s in your bladder and urethra which is the tube that your pee comes out of. However if you have to take antibiotics don’t drink excessive amounts of water because you need the antibiotics to remain concentrated so it sticks around in the bladder and urethra where the infection is. Tip 2- Wipe from front to back when you go to the toilet. If you wipe from back to front bad bacteria that colonises the rectum like e.coli can get to the urethra and put you at risk of a UTI. Tip 3- If you keep getting urinary tract infections after sexual intercourse. Try emptying your bladder soon after sexual intercourse as it can help you prevent a UTI. Tip 4- Try to fully empty your bladder when you pee and also don’t hold your pee. When you have the urge go for a pee. Tip 5- Going for a shower instead of a bath can help. Also try wearing loose cotton underwear and avoid tight jeans, trousers and synthetic underwear like nylon. Tip 6 - Natural remedies: There is very little evidence that drinking cranberry juice or using probiotics reduces your chance of getting UTIs. SEE A GP IF: • You're a man with symptoms of a UTI • You're pregnant and have symptoms of a UTI • Your child has symptoms of a UTI • You're caring for someone elderly who may have a UTI • You haven't had a UTI before • You have blood in your pee • Your symptoms don't improve within a few days • Your symptoms come back after treatment • If you have symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection, you can also get treatment from a sexual health clinic. SEE A GP URGENTLY IF YOU HAVE: • Pain in your sides or lower back • A very high temperature or you feel hot and shivery • Felt sick or been sick • Diarrhoea These symptoms suggest a kidney infection, which can be serious if it isn't treated. I have tried my best to add as many symptoms which should prompt you to see a GP but incase I have missed anything please make sure to visit the following pages as well, https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/urinary-tract-infections-utis/ https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/cystitis/treatment/ https://patient.info/health/lower-urinary-tract-symptoms-in-women-luts/cystitis-urine-infection-in-women Want to see more videos about everything health and pharmacy? Click on http://stayhealthyvideos.com/bladderrelief to see a list of products that help prevent - and relieve - the discomfort of bladder infections in men and women. Also see http://stayhealthyvideos.com/bladderhomeremedies and http://stayhealthyvideos.com/beatutis to read more about curing a bladder infection. This video is about bladder infections in men and women. A bladder infection is one of several urinary tract infections that are often called UTIs. They're also sometimes known as a urine infection because they cause pain, stinging and discomfort during urination. These are urinary infection symptoms that re common to both men and women. Urine infection causes are well-known: bacteria get into the urinary tract and grow. When they stay in the bladder, they generally causes uncomfortable symptoms that could also include dark or cloudy urine. Urinary tract infections can be extremely dangerous and even life threatening if the bacteria reach the kidneys and cause a kidney infection. Many people look for home remedies for bladder infections, but antibiotics seem to work fastest and best. Urine infections in women are more common than in men. This video explains why. It also stresses the importance of proper treatment of a bladder infection that grows in the urinary tract.

3 Simple Home Remedies To TREAT URINARY TRACT INFECTION (UTI) In Women

02:26
How to treat URINE INFECTION IN WOMEN naturally? LEARN easy home remedies for curing Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Urine infections in women is a common problem. When it affects the lower urinary tract it is known as a bladder infection (cystitis) and when it affects the upper urinary tract it is known as kidney infection (pyelonephritis) . The urinary tract consists of kidneys, ureters- connecting kidneys with the bladder, bladder and the urethra. An infection of any of these parts is called a urinary tract infection(UTI) and can be caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses. As stated earlier urinary tract infection(UTI) in women is quite common the urethra in women is much shorter than in men. Both men and women gets urinary tract infections(UTI) and occasionally it's severe with men. Causes of urinary tract infection(UTI Infection): Urinary infections can happen due to blockages which make it difficult to empty the bladder. It could be due to kidney stones, enlarged prostate gland or cancers. Improper personal hygiene and bathroom hygiene can lead to UTIs. Use of spermicides or condoms can also lead to irritation of the skin and can increase the risk of a UTI. Use of diaphragms can decrease emptying of bladder and lead to an urinary tract infection. Diabetics have an increased risk of contracting urinary tract infections. Urinary infections are the main reason why women should wipe from front to back after using the bathroom. The reason behind this is that the urethra is located close to the anus and bacteria such as E.coli, which is present in the large intestine, can escape from the anus and enter the urethra. From here, they can reach the bladder, causing bladder infection. The infection should be treated as soon as possible otherwise there is a possibility of the kidneys getting infected. Post menopause, there are changes in the normal bacteria which reside in the vagina. This can increase the incidence chances of urinary tract infections(UTIs). UTIs can also happen due to use of a catheter (a tube inserted into the bladder to allow draining urine into a bag when someone cannot urinate normally) which makes it easy for bacteria to enter the bladder. Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) or Bladder Infection Symptoms: • Burning sensation during urination • Increased frequency of urination • Blood in the urine • Cloudy urine • Change in colour of urine • Strong odour to urine • Pelvic pain (women) • Rectal pain (men) More serious urinary tract infections are those involving kidneys. They are bacteria can enter bloodstream from kidneys and circulate throughout the body causing septic shock and death. Pain in back and sides, chills, fever, nausea and vomiting are symptoms of upper urinary tract infection. Urinary Tract Infection(UTI) Treatment: You can take UTI medication or home remedies for UTI. These natural UTI remedies are quite effective and they do not have any side effects. Natural products help the bodies’ immunity to fight the infection. It also kills the bacteria and helps to flush out the toxins from the body as they are natural diuretics. Apart from using bladder infection home remedies, you must ensure cleanliness to keep UTI infection away. So let's review urine infection home remedies: 1. Water for Urinary Tract Infection:- Bring water to a boil and add the parsley if you are using fresh-which is preferable in my opinion. Reduce the heat so it simmers steadily and let the leaves infuse the water like this for 6-10 minutes. Strain the leaves out and drink the water hot. If it’s a hot summer day, pop it in the fridge for refreshing parsley “iced tea.” This is a useful urine infection home remedy. 2. Celery Seeds For Urinary Tract Infection:- Add a tea spoon of celery seeds/ajwain to a glass of water and boil this for 10 minutes. Cool this down and drink it. This home remedy helps you to get rid of pain and discomfort caused due UTI. 3. Baking Soda for Urinary Tract Infection:- Add one teaspoon of baking soda in about 1 glass of water (250ml). Stir well and drink first thing in the morning. It reduces the acidic nature of urine and eases urinating. (Do not have it for more than one week). This a very good urine infection remedy. We hope you enjoyed our small video on urine infection home remedies. Feel free to share your thoughts by liking our video or sharing your thoughts on the comments section. Don't Ignore These Early Symptoms of Kidney Disease

11:25
Don't Ignore These Early Symptoms of Kidney Disease People often ignore the warning signs of Kidney Disease, until the problem becomes severe. It is important to be aware of these signs as addressing the problem early can save you from future complications. If you have multiple signs and symptoms of Kidney Disease, ask your doctor to check your health levels and get the best treatment for Kidney Disease. Here are the early warning signs of Kidney Disease. 01:02 1, Changes in Urinary Function. 02:05 2, Swelling in the Body. 03:09 3, Severe Fatigue and Weakness. 04:07 4, Dizziness. 05:06 5, Unexplained Back Pain. 06:03 6, Skin Breakouts and Itching. 07:02 7, Ammonia Breath. 08:01 8, Nausea or Vomiting. 09:08 9, Feeling Cold Most of the Time. 10:01 10, Shortness of Breath. The first symptom of kidney disease is a change in your urinary function. The change may be in the amount and frequency of the urine you pass. It’s the kidneys’ job to remove waste and extra liquid from the body. When this does not happen, the extra fluid and water buildup causes swelling. This can be in the hands, feet, ankle joints, face and under the eyes. You may also notice dimpling of the skin after being pressed for a few seconds. When the kidneys do not function properly, there is a high chance of feeling fatigued most of the time. You may feel tired, exhausted or generally lack energy without any known reason. Two common causes of these symptoms are anemia and accumulation of waste products in the body. Healthy kidneys make a hormone called erythropoietin that aids production of oxygen-carrying red blood cells. Damaged kidney make less of this hormone, eventually leading to a decreased red blood cell count. If kidney disease causes anemia, you may suffer from frequent dizziness, which is a feeling of light-headedness, unsteadiness or loss of balance. This happens because anemia can prevent your brain from getting enough oxygen. It can further cause memory problems, trouble concentrating and difficulty sleeping. If you are suffering from sudden dizziness and poor concentration, take it seriously and get a medical checkup. Unexplained aches and pains in the back as well as sides of your abdomen can be symptoms of undiagnosed kidney disease or kidney infections. When kidneys do not function properly, you may experience pain, stiffness and fluid in the joints. Another effect of poor kidney functioning is an imbalance of calcium and phosphorus in the blood, which can lead to excessive itching. If your otherwise healthy skin suddenly shows signs of breakouts, rashes and intense itching, see your doctor. Kidney disease can also cause a metallic taste in the mouth or ammonia breath. This happens because poor kidney functioning leads to an increase in the level of urea in the blood. Urea is broken down to ammonia in the saliva, thus causing urine-like bad breath known as ammonia breath. It can also cause an undesirable metallic taste in the mouth, which can make food taste different. Nausea, vomiting and poor appetite are very common gastrointestinal symptoms among people suffering from kidney disease. Nausea and vomiting most often occur when you get up in the morning. As the kidneys are not able to filter harmful toxins out of the blood, it leads to an accumulation of excessive urea nitrogen in the blood stream. This stimulates the gastrointestinal mucosa and causes nausea and vomiting. Well, If you experience any of the following 5 Common Signs of Kidney Disease that I mentioned above, you should not ignore it. It’s important to tell your health care provider to have them checked by your doctor. So that the cause can be found and treated, if needed. Being proactive can lead to earlier treatment and a better outlook. Thank you for watching "5 Common Signs of Kidney Disease" Early Detection Could Save Your Life Longer. The interrelation between kidney stones and urinary tract infections, briefly explained by Dr. Anil Saxena, Consultant Nephrologist.
12 Signs That Your Kidneys Need Help

05:44
Your body gives these signs when your kidneys are in danger. For those who have suffered, are suffering or know someone suffering from liver disease know that it is a silent killer. What makes it even more dangerous is that it gets diagnosed at very late stages for most people. Not many individuals are educated enough to know that the symptoms of kidney disease are not silent, but are redundant enough to not care. Unfortunately in some cases, the symptoms may not even become present until the condition is critical. So this makes knowing and recognizing the symptoms that much more crucial. #Kidney #KidneyInfection #KidneyDisease Timestamps: Changing of Your Urinary Function 0:58 Difficulty or Pain While Urinating 1:30 Blood in the Urine 1:54 Foamy Urine 2:18 Swelling or Oedema 2:32 Extreme Fatigue 2:55 Dizziness and Inability to Concentrate 3:18 Feeling Constantly Cold 3:38 Skin Rashes and Itching 3:55 Ammonia Breath and Metallic 4:18 Nausea and Vomiting 4:37 Shortness of Breath 4:54 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: -You could see a dramatic increase or decrease in the amount of urine you pass if your kidneys are affected. You might also feel this extreme urge to urinate but are unable to -You might have difficulty, or feel pressure or pain while trying to empty your bladder. This could mean that you have developed a urinary tract infection -Blood in the urine is a direct symptom of kidney disease. You need to visit your doctor immediately if this symptom has surfaced -Foamy Urine is a symptom associated with the bladder, but because the bladder and kidneys are so connected, the bladder is the first to be affected if the kidneys are failing -The person will experience swelling of the feet, ankles, puffiness in the face and tightness in their hands when the kidneys start to fail -When the kidneys malfunction, the levels of erythropoietin drop drastically. This sudden drop in red blood cells causes your body to become weak and fatigue -When your kidneys are causing you to become fatigue, this lack of oxygen also affects the brain. The reason is that when the brain is lacking oxygen, it functions slower -Pyelonephritis, which is a kidney infection, can also cause a fever and chills -Renal failure, which causes waste to build up in your blood is also what causes severe itching and skin rashes -Kidney failure causes urine-like bad breath called ammonia breathe. If your kidneys are failing, you will experience constant nausea and vomiting -It can cause a build-up of fluid in the lungs which can leave you with a feeling of breathlessness ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bestie : https://goo.gl/tUqro6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestieinc/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kidney stones serious if paired with other infections

Kidney stones are not typically a very serious condition, but when combined with another condition, they can be fatal to some women.
Kidney Pain Symptoms - Signs Of Kidney Stones, Kidney Infection, Renal Failure

04:07
For more information on kidney pain symptoms, visit http://stayhealthyvideos.com/kidneydisease. It was an invaluable resource in writing the script for this video. Kidney pain is one of the common symptoms for the most common kidney problems. Pain could be mild or extremely severe. Kidney pain could also be symptomatic of other health problems like high blood pressure (hypertension) or diabetes. Both of these conditions cause damage to kidney tissue, causing pain in the lower back or "flank" areas on either side of the back. More often, kidney back pain is a sign of a kidney stone, a kidney infection, kidney cancer, kidney damage or polycystic kidney disease. In the worst case, it could be a sign of kidney failure, which is a life threatening medical emergency requiring medical intervention and care. Sometimes, what people think is a back ache turns out to be a "kidney ache." I had chronic discomfort on my lower left side as early as 7th grade - around age 12. No one at that time suspected my pain was a symptom of a kidney stone, but years later I learned that it probably was. I had to be taken to an emergency room with severe back pain at age 22. Two days later, I had a kidney stone surgically removed. I've had about a dozen kidney stones in my lifetime, and I've been hospitalized twice. I know what kidney stone pain feels like, and it feels exactly like that ache in felt in the left flank area when I was just 12 years old. I've produced this video on kidney pain symptoms in the hope that I'll help people who don't know if they have kidney pain or back pain. Renal problems ("renal" is the medical term for anything related to the kidneys) can be very confusing to those who are experiencing them for the first time. If you have a history of kidney problems in your family, there's a good chance, and you're feeling some discomfort in the area of the lower back toward the flanks, you may very well have kidney trouble of some kind. I've made a number of other videos on topic related to health and well being. Please visit http://stayhealthyvideos.com to view them.

Kidney Treatment We must learn to love/connect with every part of our physical anatomy including our kidneys. By connecting with your self you will ultimately develop a relationship with your organs and begin noticing when your organs are speaking to you/sending you messages. (Very Important) The Kidneys produce and eliminate urine through a complex filtration network and reabsorption system comprising more than 2 million nephrons. The nephrons are composed of glomeruli and renal tubles that filter blood under high pressure, removing, salts, and other soluble wastes from the plasma and returning the purified filtrate to the blood. More than 2500 pints of blood pass through the kidneys every day, entering the Kidneys through the renal arteries and leaving through the renal veins. All the blood in the body passes through the kidneys about 20 times every hour but only about one fifth of the plasma is filtered by the nephrons during that period. The Kidneys remove water as urine and return water that has been filtered to the blood plasma, thus helping to maintain the water balance of the body. Hormones, especially the antidiuretic hormone (ADH), produced by the pituitary gland, control the function of the kidneys in regulating the water content of the body. ADH reaches the renal tubules in the blood and stimulates the reabsorption of water from the filtrate into the blood. If water intake is inadequate to compensate for the water lost in perspiration and in respiration, the change in concentration in the blood is detected by the brain and the pituitary gland releases more ADH, thus reducing the loss of water in the urine. If the blood is too dilute, the pituitary gland reduces the secretion of ADH, producing a large flow of dilute urine to restore the water balance. The Kidneys need to be cleansed periodically due to all the harm the Kidneys are taking from the host body. Consumption of acidic, caustic, and corrosive causing products such as MEAT (animal flesh), DAIRY PRODUCTS, SUGAR, SALT, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, COFFEE, SODA POP BEVERAGES, and a host of other things. Too much acid in the Kidneys causes Kidney disease and can lead to Kidney failure and ultimately death. Too much acid from an excessively acidic diet can cause a host of problems for the Kidneys including infectious, inflammatory, obstructive, vascular, and neoplastic disorders of the kidneys. Severe pain in the kidneys can denote obstruction by a kidney stone; blood in the urine may denote renal carcinoma, proteinuria is generally a of disease in the glomerulus,or filtration unit of the kidneys; pyuria indicates infectious disease; and edema is characteristic of the nephritic syndrome. When there is an inability of the kidneys to excrete wastes, concentrate urine, and conversely electrolyes, the condition is medically referred to as kidney or renal failure. Whether you are currently suffering from or dealing with an adverse Kidney challenge or not, you need to cleanse your Kidneys at least once a year.
