Subscribe: https://goo.gl/Hnoaw3 This video is a reupload with a few minor adjustments. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: Trying to look a certain way, in order to conform to what society believes to be beautiful, is nothing new for the women of the world. Unfortunately for us females, there’s always been an epitome of beauty that women have attempted to mimic throughout the years. Trying to fit into this ideal has posed different types of challenges, some even life threatening, like constricting corsets in the Victorian Era or eating disorders in today’s society. These health consequences are only the beginning of the negative effects that trying to fit in causes on a woman’s body and mind. It’s shocking to see what use to be considered beautiful, but it’s even more shocking when you read about the unattainable goals women put in place for ourselves today. Body image issues have been an ongoing struggle for women over the years, and they’ve only become more and more prominent in recent times. If only it were still as simple as it was during the Italian Renaissance, when being skinny meant you were poor and being curvy meant you had enough money to properly nourish your body. Everyone’s opinion on what is beautiful differs from person to person; the ideals featured in this video are a broad look at what both men and women considered to be attractive in that day and age. From the androgynous look to the era of aerobics and skin-tight spandex, the standard of beauty is constantly evolving. But there is one thing remains the same, women will go to great lengths to look a certain way, the way they believe they’re suppose to. Every woman is beautiful, no matter your shape, and that’s something we should all keep in mind. This video in no way showcases how you’re suppose to look, it just shines a light on what the people believed to be the ideal woman throughout history. Hopefully in the decades to come, we’ll see that there is no specific ideal when it comes to how women should look. Inner beauty should be the only thing people focus on when thinking about the ideal woman. Until then, here’s a look at the crazy beliefs people possessed concerning what the perfect woman should look like in each time period. At least we don’t feel the need to wear airway-blocking corsets anymore. If you have a small hat like this one with a not so wide crown and a very short brim, it makes the person look automatically bigger; so that's something you should always avoid. On the other hand, a larger hat makes everything more proportional, more suitable, and the wearer doesn't look oversized. The same is true for the hat band, ideally, you go with something quite wide that has a very low contrast to the hat, ideally in the same color. If you're a bigger gentleman and you want to snap your brim down, that's okay but rather than having just a slight snap, try to snip it all the way down and get a really deep snap, that way it suits your silhouette more. The brim should be rather wide, at least two and a half inches which are about six and a quarter centimeters. Fedoras are a great hat for larger men and so are Homburg hats with a certain size. Short, slim, or the modest man: If you're shorter, you'll always benefit from wearing a hat because it elongates your body and makes you look taller. Rather than having a rather wide crown, it pays to have it pinched to a point because it just flatters your short silhouette more. Also, rather than going with a tone in tone hat band, it pays to switch it up for something that's contrasting. Tall and thin men: Ideally, you don’t want to accentuate your height even more which means don’t go for a high crown. Instead, go for medium to low crowns. Facial Features: Big Nose: Rather than having it curled up, you definitely want to snap it down. Rather than going for a very pointy pinch, go for something that's a little wider. Slim brims that are snapped up or just slightly snapped down are your enemy because they will just accentuate the size of your nose. Receding chin: Definitely make sure to avoid a big hat and a full crown because that will just highlight your receding chin, likewise, don't snap your hat too much because it's not an advantageous look for you. Chiseled features: you want a hat with a slight pinch on the crown that is not too small and you want a nice deep snap. It's definitely best to not tilt your hat but keep it straight so everything looks more proportional. In order not to highlight your chiseled features, I urge you to stay away from a very tall crown or a very slim brim. Round faces: If you're a man with a round face, avoid getting hats that are too small. You don't want something that has a really pointy crown, and you also don't want to have a very slim brim that is not snapped down all the way; just makes you look goofy and disproportionately large. Protruding ears: it's very important that you have a wider brim that is snapped down and not snapped up. The brim is important because it doesn't highlight the size of your ears or the shape, but it rather helps to cover them up. Opt for a wider crown that is not too pointy, although a little point is alright. Also, go with a wide hatband that's ideally somewhat contrasting because of your ears, it really pays to not just snap down the hat in the front but also in the back. Whether your goal is to lose weight tone up or build muscle this simple task will really help you get a better understanding of where your body is at right now and how to move towards your desired body type. There are those that claim that there are no body types and that everything is measured by hard work at the gym and in the kitchen and having been a trainer for over 10 years I can tell you and that's complete nonsense. And this is proven by science it is true that nobody should be obese however everybody does have their own weight set point people store fat in different places some people store more fat in their stomach area, other people store it more in their thighs, in the chest, and we also have different shapes to our muscle bellies, different lengths different thicknesses, different lagging muscle groups. The point is people really do come in all different shapes and sizes again this doesn't mean that you should be obese but it does mean that we can identify the shape or size that you're at by certain characteristics & apply certain training principles that have proven over time to work to move you towards your desired body shape. Okay so let's start with the test the way that this test works is I'm going to ask you a series of questions & your going to answer a b or c & either write down your answer or remember it because the letter that you answer with most often will help you identify what your body type is by the end of this test. Its a simple test & I'm sure you'll be surprised with the results. First question, do fitted jeans generally feel a. snug, but not too tight around your butt b. loose around your butt or c. tight around your butt. Pick the description that best fits your body Second question, if you wrap your hand around your wrist does your middle finger & your thumb a. just barely touch b. overlap or c. they don't touch. Next question would you characterize yourself as having a. a natural v shaped body b. a naturally very lean skinny long frame, or c. a naturally wide heavy frame. The fourth question requires a measuring tape so if you want to come back to it & leave it blank you can, but I highly recommend you do this one because it's very accurate. Is your chest measurement a. between 37 & 44 inches b. under 37 inches or c. greater than 44 inches? When you get to a measuring tape seriously do this one. The fifth question is how would you rate your metabolism a. fast, but you don't have a problem building muscle, b. so fast that it makes it difficult to put on muscle, or c. slow. Next question In relation to gaining weight its a. easy to gain muscle, but you don't typically gain too much fat. You may even see some ab definition while bukling b. you have trouble gaining muscle & gaining fat, in fact if you finally do gain a couple pounds your body fights to return you to your normal weight or are you more of a c. where its easy for you to put on muscle, but its also very easy for you to store fat especially around your midsection & love handles. Question number seven does your upper body resemble an a. upside down triangle, b. a rectangle that's vertically long & horizontally narrow or c. a square or round shape.two more questions. do you have an a. narrow rib cage thinner than your wider collar bones b. a narrow rib cage as narrow as your narrow collar bones & your narrow hips or c. a thick blocky rib cage as thick as your collar bones & your thick hips. And last question which body type do you look like in the mirror. a.b.or cIf you've answered a. to the majority of the questions you are at the mesomorph stage right now meaning you have a v-taper appearance. If you answered b to the majority of the questions then you are an ectomorph with more of a narrow lanky body, & if you answered c then you are an endomorph with wider thicker body. Now before I go any further I want to say that you are not stuck in your body type. That kind of thinking leads to people giving up & not working as hard at making the necessary changes to change your body type. And then it becomes a self fufilling prophecy. I don't care if you're the hardest gainer in the world, you can eat enough & drink enough soda if that's what it takes to spike your insulin to have you gain some weight. You may always struggle with building more muscle mass

All my life I've been the skinny guy. I've tried to gain muscle so many times you wouldn't believe it. I tried eating healthy and going to the gym. At some point I just stopped and accepted that my body was just not made for it. Now I know that no one is "made" for anything. Finally I was able to achieve my goals and become stronger than ever. The app helped me a lot as I didn't have a lot of experience learned the barbell movements with it through guided videos, my weights were increased automatically by its coach function and I was guided through every single workout. I couldn't have achieved what I did without it. ***UPDATE ON STARTING LIFTING NUMBERS*** I haven't actually done real 1RM tests in the beginning. These are just estimations based on the weights I trained with. I found a 1RM calculator online that said that it's pretty accurate up to 10 reps so I used its estimations. If I had known the technique better and if I had been able to push myself harder, I probably could have handled more weight but I was afraid to do the movements wrong and I found it kind of scary to use weights I am not sure I can handle - especially when it comes to bench press and squats. ***UPDATE ON NUTRITION*** I followed a very strict diet and without that, it would just not have been possible to change as drastically as I did. In general: I’m a pescetarian, that means, I don’t eat meat except for fish. I started with the Freeletics Nutrition Guide and applied the knowledge in a way that worked best for me. I will try to break it down to a few simple steps: 1) The key is finding what works best for you and then sticking to it: The first couple of weeks I only focussed on gaining weight as that has been my biggest struggle so far. High protein and high carb diet. Lot’s of fish and seafood. My calorie intake was up to about 4000kcal/day. After a while I realized that was too much as I was gaining fat as well and went down to a high protein moderate carb diet with a little more than 3000kcal which worked way better for me. My body developed the way I wanted it to and my performance went through the roof.. 2) No alcohol, no added sugar, no processed food at all. Real foods - that’s what is the basis for everyone. Don’t eat stuff you can’t pronounce. Just don’t do it. 3) It helps to track your calories and weigh your food. You need to know what you are eating as well as how much of it. It’s the same as for training: Doing the right exercises is the first step, programming it is the second. That's why the Freeletics Gym Coach worked for me. 4) Schedule your meals according to your day. Your body needs to be fueled with the right nutrients throughout the day and has special needs at certain times, i.e. I always ate a banana and drank a protein shake directly (15mins max) after training as the body needs carbs and proteins to regenerate and refuel. I also precooked my food for the whole day every morning. 5) Supplements: I took 5g of creatine and a protein shake right after each training. Ectomorph? Mesomorph? Endomorph? What body type are you? How to train and eat for your body type? Let's dig into it. In this video, we will talk about the three basic body types namely the Ectomorph, the Mesomorph and the Endomorph. My idea of making this video is that you get to identify which of these body types you fall under and accordingly what kind of workout and what kind of diet is best suited to you. So that you get the best possible results. #1 Body Type - ECTOMORPH - 00:27 Ectomorphs are the typical hardgainers. They tend of narrow shoulders, small frame and overall a skinny look. Ectomorphs find it really difficult to gain weight or put on muscle mass. They naturally have a very low body fat percentage. #2 Body Type - MESOMORPH - 02:30 Mesomorph is probably the best body type to be a part of. They naturally have a symmetrical build, wide shoulders, narrow waist. A mesomorph finds it quite easy to put on muscle. Also they tend to lose body fat quite effectively. Mesomorphs are generally quite muscular and bodybuilding comes naturally to them. #3 Body Type - ENDOMORPH - 03:22 They have a soft round build. They tend to put on fat very easily because of which they generally struggle to lose weight. So these were the 3 basic body types. Now, just because we have talked about three body types, it doesn’t mean that you have to fit completely into one of these. You can easily be a combination of ectomorph and mesomorph or endomorph and mesomorph. But essentially the idea was to help you understand what your body type is. You have the adrenal type, the thyroid type, the ovary type and the liver type. But there is one more, it's the pancreas type, which is pumping out too much insulin because this person has insulin resistance. The best way to look at this is to look at what TRIGGERED your body type before you developed your body shape or type. Lets take the liver body type - this could come from alcohol, medications, and even a virus. But you can also have a liver body type that is triggered from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease triggered from insulin resistance, so the pancreas can cause the liver body type. The pancreas type can also cause the adrenal body type, if the trigger is sugar or freq. eating, however, if it's stress as a trigger, then the high cortisol can release insulin and create belly fat that make its impossible to determine from the outside if the person has the pancreas or adrenal body type until you talk to the person and dig into their history. If they have the ovary type, and you find out from their history that they were exposed to higher levels of estrogen - birth control pills or even pregnancy, then we know the trigger is estrogen. The thyroid is usually secondary to either high estrogen or liver problems. The big question is WHAT happens before you ended up with your shape. You need a clue: -stress -sugar -medication -virus -pregnancy -alcohol Cortisol, estrogen and insulin are fat making hormones and they dominate other hormones. This is why the thyroid and liver are usually secondary to other body types.
