How to Create a Customer Satisfaction Survey

11:52
Step-By-Step Guide to Creating a Customer Satisfaction Survey 1.Head over to my personal favorite survey website, Survey Monkey 2. Click on “Sign Up Free” (assuming you don’t have an existing account) which you can see in the middle of the page in white color. 3. Go through the signing up process by entering username, password, and email or alternatively, you can also sign up using a google or facebook account. When you are completed, click “Sign Up”. 4. You are then transferred over to an area where you have to set up your account. You can skip this and get straight to the survey building by clicking on “Skip to SurveyMonkey Home”, which is in small writing below the button “Next”. 5. If you want to build a survey ASAP and save yourself some time, click on the button in the middle of the screen “Create Survey”. 6. Here in this blog post, we are referring to the creation of a customer satisfaction survey. Fortunately, surveymonkey knows there are many people reading this post and many people needing this type of survey, so they’ve already pre-loaded one for you. Click on the upper most left survey template called “Customer Satisfaction Survey Template”. 7. Then, you can click on “Use this Template” inside the popup that appears 8. Once doing this, you will be transferred over to the actual survey. I suggest reviewing the questions, making sure they relate to your business and are all questions you are actually interesting in asking your audience. If there is a question you want to edit, hover over that question with your computer’s mouse and click the “Edit” button. Once you are in this editing mode, you can click on “Edit” which is highlighted in the upper right corner. That allows you to perform a full edit on the question to change anything you would like to change. Alternatively, if there is a question you want to remove, because you feel you have no need for it, hover over the question with your computer’s mouse and select “Delete”. 9. After finalizing your survey, double click the title which will be automatically set to the default “Customer Satisfaction Survey Template”. Rename this to whatever you feel will make most sense. For example, Joe’s Pizzeria Customer Satisfaction Survey. 10. Once you’ve renamed it as you’d like, click on the “Preview & Test” button towards the top right corner of the page. Make sure the survey appears as you’d like it to. If there are any changes, you can quickly close the popup test version and make the changes through the editing features. Because many people these days are on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, it would be wise to check how it looks on those devices as well. When you are in the test version, you will see the option to select “Tablet” or “Phone”, which will show you the format of the survey as if it were on either one of those devices. 11. Finally, once you are completely satisfied with your customer satisfaction survey, click on the green button in the upper right corner “Next”. 12. Here you have two relevant options for your email subscribers. Option A: Send Email If you choose send email, surveymonkey will send an email directly from their system to the email addresses that you select. Once you’ve entered all of the relevant email addresses in the “Send To” field, click on the button “Next” at the bottom right corner. If you’ve verified your email address, then at this point, you will click on the “Next” button again at the bottom right hand corner. There are some nice additional features here, but they cost money, so unless you are willing to spend a few dollars here on your survey, I’d just go with the free option. If you are not verified with your email address, then go ahead to your email address before continuing onward and verify your email via the verification link in the email sent to you by surveymonkey. Finally, you will arrive to the sending page. Here you have an option of either sending the survey right now, or scheduling a date and time in the future to send. Once you determine your sending time, click on the button “Send Now”. If you want to see how the email will look before sending it to your email subscribers, click first on “Test Email” and check your email inbox to make sure the email looks as you wish. Once you’re done, click “Send Now”. Option B: Get Web Link If you prefer to send a customized email to all of the email subscribers in your database, and send them the survey through link. This is actually a bit simpler than the email sending option in option A. Copy and paste the link that surveymonkey provides you with here and place it within any email or message that you send to your subscribers. This way you can send a personalized message at any time of day that you want for each individual subscriber. 13. You are done! Congrats! Check in your account over the next few days to see how people are responding to the survey. Good luck with the results :)

Local Business How-To: Creating a YellowPages Business Listing

07:32
If you think local, then you got to be thinking YellowPages! The source of it all and the holy grail, the yellow pages, which was once your only directory of local businesses, has now become one directory amongst thousands. But don’t be fooled! YellowPages may be one of the oldest local business directories, but yet, it is still a powerhouse engine to connect with your local audience. Often times, YellowPages search results STILL appear within the first few search results from google when someone is searching for a specific product/service in a local area. For example, let’s say that I am living in Skokie, Illinois and am searching for a basic window repair service for my home. The first thing that I will do is open up a google search and type in “Window Repair Skokie, IL”. As you can see, although not the first google result, YellowPages is on the first page and there is a good chance you would scan at least the first 6-7 google listings to see what local businesses show up. In fact, if you were a window repair company, I would say that you should undoubtedly create a social profile on every single one of those business directories, like homeadvisor.com, yelp.com, and thumbtack.com. By doing so, people searching for your business services will find you on multiple websites, which gives the appearance that you are a serious, professional business who is very trustworthy (especially if you invest in your testimonials). So to help you get started, here is the step-by-step process of setting up your business listing on YellowPages: Head over to the YellowPages business platform by clicking on this link In the middle of the screen, you should see some small text that says “Get Started”. It should be highlighted in yellow. Click on that and you will arrive in a new tab. As requested, enter the needed information to set up your YellowPages account. Enter your business name and business phone and then click “Get my free listing”. You will then be asked to fill in your First Name, Last Name and Business Email. Proceed by filling in these fields, and then click on “Claim Now”. The next step is the lengthiest one, however you are almost done! Fill in the remaining details of your business which are requested there. Make sure to fill out as many data fields as possible. If you have a website, include it as well in the “Web Site” data field. I highly recommend you add a description of your business as well. This helps you rank higher in YellowPages listings. Once you have filled in all of the relevant fields, click on “Continue”. NOTE: After clicking continue, you may have to wait 1-2 minutes. If you see the popup message that it cannot be uploaded immediately, the best solution is to call YellowPages directly during their business hours at 800-479-2977. Over the phone call, you will successfully be verified and your business listing will be in YellowPages.

How to List Your Local Business on Google

11:50
Source URL: https://blog.aadly.com/164827102725/2017/8/28/how-to-list-your-local-business-on-google Every local business needs to have their business listed on Google. I have never met any professional marketer (for that matter, I’d even include non professional marketers), who would say that having a google listing is a mistake. Here’s why it’s so beneficial: Take a simple example from a customer’s perspective. Steve was driving with his family over for a weekend day-visit to Chicago. Steve’s family was just about 15 minutes away, and his wife nudged him on the shoulder, asking him if he has already thought about what the family could eat together for lunch. Steve didn’t even think about it! Oh, Steve! Without any further question, Steve tells his wife, “Honey, look up some food options over on Wabash, through Google. I’m feeling pizza, if you and the kids are up for it! My spothero parking is on Wabash, so it’ll be easiest”. Steve’s wife, of course being a relatively tech friendly millennial, grabs her iPhone and starts searching away. She goes into google and types the following: “Pizzeria restaurants Wabash st. Chicago”. After gazing through some of the options, she decides she’s going to call the one with the nicest images and the best reviews, because of course, competition is high and this is the only way to really know which pizzeria to buy from. She calls up the pizzeria, tells the cashier what she’d like to order ahead of time, and boom, she’s got her pizza ready for her, Steve and the rest of the family within 15 minutes. This is a fantastic example for the types of experiences that you (as a customer of other businesses) and your customers are going through each day. The process is “I want something, I’ll find something, I’ll get something, received.” Keeping this in mind, it is very important to create your Google Business listing. It takes less than 10 minutes (as you can see in the video above), it’s extremely easy (even for the least tech-friendly person), and has the potential to increase your customer count greatly. For those of you who don't/can't watch the video, here are the steps involved in creating your google business listing: 1. Head over to the google business listing setup link here: https://www.google.com/business/ 2. Click on the “Start Now” button. 3. Fill in the relevant data fields that Google is Requesting from you including: Business name, country/region, street address, city, state, zip code, business phone, business category, and website URL. Once you have done so, click on “Continue” 4. Google takes your data and compares to existing data to make sure it does not create duplicates. Therefore, it may ask you if one of the existing business listings is one that you own. Most likely, the answer will be no (unless it really is your listing) and in this case, you can click on “None of these match”. 5. Google will then re-verify the information you’ve provided. You will need to click on the checkbox to verify that you are authorized. Once you have done that, click on “Continue” 6. Google wants to verify that your business listing is actually true and accurate, and therefore will then request to send you the verification code via postal mail. You can click on “Mail” 7. Google then reminds you to ‘keep an eye out’ for the postcard to arrive within 1-2 weeks. Often it comes within 3-5 business days, at least from my own experience. If you think you will not be at the physical location when the postcard arrives, but rather your manager will be there or a separate employee, then you can enter their name in the field where it says “Optional Contact Name”. When you’re finished, click on “Send a Postcard”. 8. Next, you will receive a postcard in the mail from Google with the remaining steps to complete your verified google business listing. As usual, if any of you guys get stuck in any of this process, always feel free to reach out to us. We are more than happy to help!
